Zach and McKinney complain that Sharon has "abandoned" them in her desperate bid to ingratiate herself with Pastor Tudor, and though Gigi worries that "Dallas will talk" if she starts a romance with a brand-new widower, she agrees to a private rendezvous with Burl later that evening. Heather, determined to prove herself, announces that she and her wealthy new boyfriend will take charge of the annual church fundraiser and raise "gazillions" without Carlene and Cricket's help; when Luke expresses interest in Amanda, Carlene makes it abundantly clear that she will not allow a romance between her brother and her nemesis.
Heather tells Andrew about the fundraiser, admitting that "power is a social currency" in her circle; he offers to help by inviting a certain famous friend to perform at the event. Sharon is shocked when her troublemaking son Bozeman suddenly returns from boarding school, having apparently been expelled over an amorous mishap. Amanda is amused when Luke takes her to none other than Boobylicious for their first date.
Pastor Tudor has a similar heart-to-heart with Amanda, who decides that the only way to get her cast back is to make things right with the GCBs — and that involved a bucket of mud and a cheerleading outfit.
After sending surreptitious texts to Cricket, Carlene and Heather none of whom bothered to question the source of their anonymous phone correspondence , Amanda walked out wearing her years-old cheerleading uniform and encouraged her erstwhile enemies to reverse the roles and dump mud on her , completing the javelina circle of life.
A merry mud-slinging fight ensues, and the girls agree to return to the production, with only hours left to re-work the entire show. Man, television really has no respect for the theatre collective. The plan works and Sharon returns home for a time, but when Bozeman winds up arrested for a joy ride among other rides , he reveals that Zack pulled him out of school to keep Sharon away from Pastor Tudor.
But because she has the willpower of goldfish, she finds herself drawn to Zack again when he exerts some discipline on Boze, who it appears will be sticking around. The Boze will live to wear another V-neck! Heather takes on the responsibility, but soon learns that raising anything aside from her hemline is exceptionally difficult. Andrew noticed that Heather derived a little too much pleasure from associating herself with his money, though, and left the habanero realtor in the dust.
When she learned that her own romance with Burl was restricting Amanda from having her beefcake, Gigi answered the motherly call by taking Burl onto the stage and revealing their poorly-timed passion for the entire community, leaving Carlene with no blackmail fodder and Amanda with an opportunity to try things again with Luke, who enthusiastically bestows a second chance. I saw a table of turbans and I just went for it.
