Tybalt is constantly trying to start fights with Romeo and, eventually, he succeeds. Because of Tybalt, Romeo is banished from the city Verona, where his beloved wife Juliet lives. Another example of an Antagonist is, Paris compared to Juliet. Paris is the main reason that Juliet deems it necessary to take a potion to fake her death. This ultimately leads to the death of both Romeo and Juliet in the end.
A foil in a story is a character whose personality…. Eighteen years old. He lives in the middle of a violent feud between his family and the Capulets, but he is not at all interested in violence.
His only interest is love. At the beginning of the play he is madly in love with a woman named Rosaline, but the instant he lays eyes on Juliet, he falls in love with her and forgets Rosaline. Caliban also provides the dual purpose of representing the servant character, which is an archetype in itself. In the same vein as the character archetypes, there are three storylines which exist throughout the play.
Fate plays another role into the lives of both the lovers, when Romeo got the banishment from Verona. If Romeo had never killed Tybalt and he was not banished the story would not have concluded in their death. When Romeo and Juliet met, they immediately kissed rushing into things very quickly. He is very desperate to see Juliet, but he also knows his risking his life. Another example of bad advice comes after Romeo found out about his banishment.
Romeo has a melodramatic reaction to the news. The friar gives a speech about how Romeo is acting like a woman and how he should be thankful for this merciful punishment. After his circumlocution, the friar informs Romeo that he will help out Romeo by setting him up to spend the night with Juliet before he sets off to Mantua.
